Illustration

What does Kos Urške mean?

Kos Urške has two meanings. In Slovenian, my surname "Kos" refers to both a black bird and a piece of something.

I wanted to incorporate the meaning of black bird into my logo as a legacy, especially since my dad has a wine brand associated with our surname called Black Bird.

Finally, the literal translation of Kos Urške is A Piece of Urška, which reflects the true meaning behind the brand name.

Can I get a custom illustration?

Absolutely! Complete my contact form or contact me by email: info@kosurske.com

Do you use AI tools?

NO!

I do not like using AI tools in my illustration process as I view it as inappropriate for this specific artistic expression.

What mediums do you use?

Every month is a different story. You will see me painting with guache in October, and not wanting to leave my drawing tablet in August.

However I mostly start my illustrations traditionally and then finalize them digitally.

I enjoy using both traditional and digital mediums, as they make my illustration process engaging and unique.

What does your illustration process look like?

My creative process can be a bit chaotic, but here’s a simplified breakdown:

  1. Selecting a theme
  2. Collecting and reviewing relevant literature
  3. Identifying pieces that intrigue me
  4. Making rough sketches of the concept
  5. Transferring the traditional sketches to the computer
  6. Finalizing the artwork in Adobe Photoshop using a Wacom Cintiq Pro

After completing the artwork, I like to leave it for a few days. When I come back, I review it to fix any mistakes and add details.

What do you use for drawing?

For my traditional artwork and sketches, I primarily use pencils from Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth, as well as Castle Arts Watercolour Pencils. Additionally, I work with various types of gouache and watercolour paints.

When illustrating digitally, I use a Wacom Cintiq Pro 24" along with Adobe Photoshop. Occasionally, I also use an iPad Pro 11" with an Apple Pencil and Procreate.

Shipping & Delivery

When will I receive my order?

Your products will be shipped according to the shipping method you select. We offer two options:

  1. Standard Shipping: Delivery in 2-3 days.
  2. Fast Shipping: Delivery the next day.

Delivery costs vary based on your location. Please be aware that all orders delivered outside the European Union may be subject of taxes and customs duties, which are the responsibility of the customer.

We use Pošta Slovenije for delivery. Currently, Pošta Slovenije has a delivery timeframe of 1-3 working days for parcel shipments within Slovenia, although this may vary in special circumstances. For parcels shipped outside Slovenia, delivery can take anywhere from 3 to 30 days.

You can track your shipment here: https://sledenje.posta.si

As a customer, you are responsible for collecting your goods. If you do not retrieve your shipment within the specified timeframe, it will be returned to us, the sender.

We recommend checking that the contents of your shipment match your order upon delivery and reporting any issues promptly.

What shipping materials are used?

To ensure that your products do not get damaged by water or any other external forces, I use cellophane bags made from recycled plastic. Each product is then packaged in a sturdy paper envelope, reinforced with hard cardboard to prevent bending. Additionally, a sticker that says “DO NOT BEND” is placed on the envelope for added protection.

What if I don't like my order?

You can always contact me on info@kosurske.com or issue a refound request.
